Welcome to Our Office

Harold came to the law later than most attorneys. After being Honorably Discharged from the US Army Security Agency, Harold went back to school on the GI Bill, graduating first from UC Davis (BA, double major Economics and International Relations), followed by graduate work at St. Mary's College (MS International Business). After close to a decade as a professional firefighter for the University and the City of Davis, Harold spent several more years as the Senior Building Inspector for the City of Pleasanton, then Supervising Building Inspector for Placer County,  followed by three years as the Chief Building Official for the City of Antioch. While working full time, Harold attended law school at night for the requisite four years. After being admitted to the bar, Harold first practiced in Sacramento for three years before ultimately relocating his practice here in San Luis Obispo, to be closer to his four sons primarily but to also enjoy a more collegial practice of the law.  He will be the first to say he should have moved here long ago!

Along the way to becoming an attorney, Harold also worked in the trades, contracting and building his custom family home in Pleasanton, where his four sons were first born and raised.  He has served  as a goodwill ambassador for the Rotary Foundation on a Group Study Exchange to Brazil, operated the first No Smoking billiards club/cafe in northern california, and worked as a process server.  He has made payrolls, and understands the pressures of operating a successful small business. Working in a variety of occupations has afforded him the unique opportunity to empathize with his clients and to truly understand their hopes, fears and desires.
